Don't Get Comfortable!

What does this post have to do with Fashion? Absolutely nothing! It does, however, have to do with taking care of yourself. Wearing nice clothes and looking good is great but the real prize is feeling good and being beautiful on the inside too which we all know radiates to the outside eventually.

For a while I was being consistent at taking care of myself, doing all the things, eating right, taking my vitamins, drinking my water and working out. It definitely showed on the outside with my skin, how my body changed, everything was great but then I got comfortable. I decided I was going to take a break but that break proved to be the worst decision ever. I started eating anything and everything I wanted, stopped taking my vitamins consistently and stopped drinking the amount of water I needed. One day I looked in the mirror and saw the difference. all of my hard work and progress I made went down the drain because I got COMFORTABLE; because I LET UP!

The same goes for life in general. As long as we do what we should, make all the right decisions, be kind to others, forgiving, generous, stay vigilant in prayer, read our Bible, maintain a close relationship with God. etc everything seems to go right in life, we are happy right? But then we get COMFORTABLE, ahhh there goes that magic word again. We ease up, slow down, skip days which becomes weeks, which becomes months. The place we never want to be in because a place of comfort can be your downfall. Letting up doesn't just affect you physically, it can affect you mentally and emotionally.

So in an effort to practice what I preach, I'm getting back to the basics, getting uncomfortable, working out, INSPIRING YOU, staying relentless in prayer, eating healthier, drinking my water, doing all the things just like we all should. Before you know it Spring/Summer will be here and we'll all be saying the same thing. I wish I would have started when she started, I wish I would have started in the winter, I wish I would have started months ago. So my Day one starts NOW! In addition to Fashion I'll be posting healthier recipes and progress updates. I hope you will all join me on this journey to being healthier and doing better so that our beauty as women radiates from the inside out!
